Openings to Avoid

Posted on October 7, 2016October 12, 2016 by John Lowell

Kristin Nelson, author of one of my favorite agent blogs, Pub Rants, has some advice on openings to avoid, in four parts (thus far):

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

Definitely worth your time. In fact, it’s pretty easy to lose a whole afternoon there.

Name-dropped

Posted on October 6, 2016October 13, 2016 by John Lowell

Just got name-dropped in the Coffee House Writers Group podcast with Scott McClelland.

The Coffee House Writers Group is a writers group in the Los Angeles area designed to support writers through critique groups, presentations, and social events. I go to their Wednesday Meetup in Long Beach, CA.
